WHAT I LEARNED IN CLASS

ASSALAMUALAIKUM AND HELLO EVERYBODY... 

My first impression about counseling is the only teacher. Help student and everything about student only not about people out of the school. So now it changes my perception about counseling. After that, I know the job as a counselor just listening to other people that want to share with us, no need technic just listening. So I totally wrong about counseling, it maybe because before this I am accounting's student, not counseling. so I did not know much about counseling. I very lack knowledge about counseling. To make people say their problem or issue actually needs technic that can make they believe us. It actually not easy to handle human because humanly is unique. Before to make people  trust us, we must train our self first to trust people. Yeah, it not easy but we must learn it how to handle it. To be a good counselor, we must have enough spirit. Humanly is unique, in this world, there are many variety people that not same with other. That why in this world have yes and no as answers. Not everyone will choose yes, certain people will choose no. 

       

 Humanly is unique

I enjoy to learned in class with Dr. Fa and friends. It teaches me how to handle client when doing the counseling session. How to use technic when to handle the client. Not with everyone we can use the same technic, sometimes we must change it. I also learn how to make client say more about their problem. When do the session, as a counselor we can not give an advice and can not choose the decision for client even client to want we do that to them. It is wrong. As a counselor, we only discuss with the client that were tangled with their problem. Explain to them what will happen if they choose this way and what will happen if they choose the another way. Every decision is only made by the client, not by the counselor. But we must accept the reality, not every problem we can help them to solve it. Sometimes there is  a problem that we can not help them but can refer them to another counselor or another place that more suitable to help them. When that thing happens we can not blame our own self because counselor also human that can do a mistake.
