This is my second content of my blog as a counsellor training. Now, I want to share one of my experience during completing philosophy of counselling individual assignment which are find and listen to 65 peoples not UNIMASians without any letter. Actually, this assignment taught us as a amateur counsellor to be a good listener. After about 3 peoples I met with small cases, I started to discover peoples in the big city which is Kuching City at night. My friends and I went there by a car until early in the morning. We went to a place full with variety people background. One of my friends had interviewed a guy with a big problem while I got it too. When I was busy to find people to share their problem, I met a guy looks like non-muslim person and suddenly he greeted me with salam. I was asking him a permission to spend some time with me to be part of my assignment and he willing to do it. He started to introduce himself so am I. Later on, I asked him to share a story that may not be forget for the whole his life. And suddenly, he started to tell the truth that before this he was a drug supplier about 1 year ago. But now, he repented. He told how can he back to the right path. He was stealing a motorcycle and out of the blue, he started to think what may happen to the people who own the motorcycle. After that, he did not do those wrong things again and starts a new life with new friends. He told that he was influenced by his old friends. For the conclusion, this shows that friend is one of the factors contribute to a good personality. He told those story to me as he hope that this story can be motivated others people whenever it is too late. No time limits to repent from doing wrong. Everyone deserves to change and take a second chances. As a good counsellor, I need to learn how to listen well before trying to respond the client.
Yaa, kelas philosophy, tambah-tambah lagi nak cari 65 orang klien.
