OH MY BASIC HELPING SKILLS

ASSALAMUALAIKUM and HELLO to anyone who are reading this right now. It seems like everybody had posted here and introduced themselves except me. It’s okay though, they say save the best for the last. Well, let me introduce myself first, my name is Khairah binti Ismail and I bet most people knew me. Not as a celebrity though (obviously) but I am 182 cm tall.

HOLD ON! I’m not here to talk about myself because it would take pages then (just kidding) but I’m going to talk about how I feel about Basic Helping class. So back to the first day where it was our first BHS class and this is the only tutorial class we had plus counselling theory class.

At the first day, everyone were seems unfamiliar except few. We barely know each other and everyone were waiting for the lecturer and the I’m sitiing at the back with a piece of blank paper and a pen. Of course there’s a lot of things going on inside my head thinking how this class would be? I don’t really felt nervous that day, I feel extremely excited instead. So when the lecturer comes in, we were like “okay..here it goes”. Dr Fa introduce herself and she asked us to arrange the chairs in circle. After that we were asked to write our name in a piece of paper so that everyone can read. We all introduced ourselves one by one and we had to state 3 of our strength. Everyone had a creative way describing their strengths and I still remember my 3 special things is I am funny, hyperactive and tall. “why tall?” Dr Fa asked. “Because I could reach higher place and everyone needed me to do so” I said. Everyone laughed and I was like, “ Yeah, I know and that’s why I am funny”.

But the most important is that I found that this class is very interesting and Dr Fa is such a great person. She has such a sweet smile and treat us like we were her own children. She, as a successful counsellor, gave such a big inspirational to us. I am really looking forward to learn every single skills in helping and counselling from her. The class was actually fun because everyone are participating and active in that class. That all from me. See me on my next entry. Bye !! xoxo
